Flight Information

The Adelaide International Airport receives flights from all cities in Australia and as far away as Singapore and Hong Kong. International travelers will probably need to arrive via Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney or Melbourne.

Adelaide offers a range of accommodation options to suit all budgets, from inexpensive shared dormitory accommodation to the luxury of five star hotels.

The rooms reserved for the conference have now been filled. If you have not made arrangements for accommodation you must now contact the conference hotels directly.

Travel Support

Travel bursaries will be awarded on a competitive basis to approximately 30 doctoral students and to participants from developing countries, contingent on the availability of funds. Applications will be judged according to the applicant's past involvement in DNA barcoding and their plans for future involvement. Priority will be given to applicants whose abstracts have been accepted for presentation.

The online application is now closed. Applicants will be notified of the status of their application in the coming months.

Visa Information

All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa to travel to and enter Australia. Participants should check their eligibility for an ETA visa, which they can apply for with the Australian Electronic Travel Authority. Please note that there is an AUS$20.00 online processing fee for the ETA visa, payable by credit card at the time of application.

For participants who are ineligible for an ETA visa, the Visa Wizard tool is available to help identify the Australian visa most likely to meet your specific circumstance. Requests for a formal letter of invitation for inclusion in visa applications should be sent to Sally Brown.
